This was incredibly good. I picked this recipe since I had all the ingredients on hand. Many recipes called for cardamom pods, which I could not find in the supermarket. I made this twice. The first time I pounded out the chicken and then marinaded in buttermilk. The second time I skipped it. I really think it tasted better the first time. Also, I used fresh ginger. Definitely think that’s the way to go. Delicious. Making this for dinner I’m serving it with shredded lettuce diced tomatoes chopped onion and sour cream. You could also serve with refried beans but I’m on keto diet and don’t eat beans. Excellent flavored meal. The only change I made was to add onion, garlic and the suggested black beans. Made a lot and was done and on the table in 25 minutes. Will definitely make again. Excellent taste plus a super easy recipe to follow.  Highly recommend if you have no time to cook.  Made this at least five times. Made this so many times already, just like others comments I doubled garlic and onions and I personally added a pinch of cumin in the broth to mix with rice so it has more flavor since hubby was saying it needed something more and it turned out great. Made the recipie exactly as shown and it was delicious.  had some leftovers (only 2 of us in my house for now) and it was even better the next day! Added red pepper flakes as suggested (we love a little spice). It was almost like we had our own homemade chinese chicken! Served with steamed rice and broccoli. Just wanted to say i love this recipe! It has became a family favorite I have 2 cooking as I’m writing this! I have a large family and its hard to find something everyone likes but this is one i never hear complaints about. I made this last night. Made it exactly as this recipe and it was so delicious! My husband and I both really liked it. Definitely adding this to our rotation of meals. Just made this last night. Super easy and I cheated and just used a couple cans of cut green beans which did not need to be cooked before assembling.
